This virtual talk is presented by Dr. Michael Norris; the event will be held via Zoom.

Why is there a medieval art museum in North Manhattan? Discover the answer within the origins of The Met Cloisters, a work of art in itself, as well as in its unique collection of medieval architecture and individual works of art, such as the superb Unicorn Tapestries.

Dr. Michael Norris got his BA in classics from the University of California at San Diego and his MA in classics and his Ph.D. in art history at the University of California at Santa Barbara. He spent twenty years at the Cloisters Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and has lectured on trips all over the world.
