Art for Stress Relief

Creating art can be an incredible way to heal and destress. It is becoming a very effective personal wellness tool during these very challenging times. Working on art, while reducing stress and anxiety, will keep you feeling calm and centered.
This 4-week Art for Stress Relief workshop will be presented by Anne Zimmerman, a Westchester County-based artist, educator, and therapeutic art coach.
Space is limited to 12 participants; the workshop is held via Zoom. Registration with a valid email address is required.
Class 1 (March 1) - Intention Word Doodles
Supplies needed: paper, pencil, markers, colored pencils and crayons.
Class 2 (March 15) - Visualization Collage
Supplies needed: magazines, 11 x 14" paper, scissors, glue stick, markers and/or colored pencils.
Class 3 (March 29) - Neurographic Art
Materials needed: 11 x 14" or 9 x 12" watercolor paper, black sharpies, and watercolors
Class 4 (April 12) - Thoughtful Watercolor Resist
Materials needed: white crayon, 9 x 12" or 11 x 14" watercolor paper (2 or 3 sheets), watercolors, water
One watercolor pad and 1 black sharpie will be provided to each participant after the first class.
