Mahopac Library is pleased to host a NYS-certified Healthcare Navigator from MiSN (Maternal Infant Services Network) every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month!

MiSN is a community–based non-profit Perinatal Network. Their goal is to improve birth outcomes and reduce racial and gender disparities that result in infant and maternal mortality, preterm birth and low birth weight babies. MiSN is dedicated to family and community health and wellness across the lifespan. They provide all members of the community with information, education, support and referrals to achieve better health at every stage of life.

Getting affordable health insurance coverage is critical to accessing health care. MiSN’s certified Health Insurance Navigators are here to help individuals and families determine if they are eligible for health insurance through the New York State of Health Marketplace.

They are available to assist individuals in applying for coverage in the privacy of one of our 2nd floor Study Rooms.
